Hello, my name is Sophie Xie. 

 I like to think of myself as an illustration artist. Using watercolor as my medium, I find inspiration in the vibrant moments of nature and everyday life. By using bold colors and dramatic lighting, I strive to capture scenes that spark curiosity and invite viewers to take a closer look. My work encourages people to pause and appreciate the fleeting beauty and the stories unfolding within the artwork.

 Even as a child, my wild imagination and restless hands meant no blank surface was safe from my doodles and colors, sparking creativity and, at times, a bit of trouble. 

 But as I grew, I put aside my creativity, embracing the roles expected of me—building a family, raising children, and maintaining a day job. After decades of settling for practicality, a painful divorce led me back to my paintbrushes, reconnecting me with the vibrant world I once explored so freely. 

 Today, I live in Washinton State with my children. I create artwork whenever I find the time, painting whatever excites my heart. I invite you to join me on a journey through my art creation, follow the calling from my inner child, and uncover beauty in my imaginative landscapes.
